Between the Lines: Art Murphy and Nina Sklansky

Catskill-based fine arts photographer Art Murphy loves invertebrate fossils. So much so, they have become something of an all-consuming passion. A passion that has resulted in an event most photographers can only dream about: A solo exhibition this September at the Museum of Natural History in Florence, Italy, which he likens to “the Sistine Chapel of fossils.” Also, Nina Sklansky, a Catskill resident who has launched a Web site, marketing campaign and attracted a team of like-minded souls, all intent on promoting the village of Catskill.
