Summer officially ends tomorrow (September 22). Crisp morning air and earlier sunsets have already been telegraphing that to us. As befitting the larger change afoot, I found myself in need of a little change. I needed a break from the fossils and wanted to aim the camera at some different subject matter.
I decided to visit a neighbor, get away from the computer, and catch some of the recent fine weather (It will soon be a distant memory as the cold eventually sets in – at least in this particular part of the world).
My friend lives on what was once a summer camp for kids.Many of the old cabins are still standing.
The week is not complete until at least a few fossil images appear. Here are three more delicacies from my recent visit to the Museum of the Earth:
